Today myself and Mary said goodbye to our best friend Harry or “Hazza” as he was known here at Hazeltree. After adopting Harry and Rosie in 2006 he was a pleasure to have in our lives and he certainly lived life to the full. He was my best friend and soul mate and went through thick and thin and never once left my side. Mummy’s little soldier will be sorely missed.

These pictures were taken this morning as we took our last walk together through the fields where he loved to gallop and had so many happy memories. Rosie came too and walked gently by his side. Harry made the most of feeling the long wet grass on his tummy as if you knew Harry, he did most of his meeting and greeting from the floor!

Harry was a ‘greyt’ ambassador for promoting greyhounds as great pets and was so gentle and loving towards everyone he met. Our hearts are breaking right now so please join us in lighting a candle for our little boy who is now at peace. He ran to the bridge after peacefully falling asleep in my arms at 5pm this evening. God speed my boy….we love you very very much xxxxxx
