This lovely brindle girl was called Givemeago but we think Gracelyn reflects her beauty better.
Gracelyn was two in January and is now looking for a new home. Gracelyn is a well built lady and about 28 inches tall.
Gracelyn is confident in the kennels and enjoys a fuss. She will shortly be going to a foster home so we will get to know more about her personality once she has settled in

A fantastic HUG supporter named Jamie O'Connor has just completed his first half marathon and fundraiser, setting up a GoFundMe in support of Irish greyhounds. He and his partner are huge hound fans after adopting their lurcher in 2018 and we are incredibly grateful for their support! He's already raised more than €660 and if you would like to donate to the fundraiser you can do so through this link: www.gofundme.com/f/jamies-half-marathon-run-for-greyhounds?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customer
Thank you so much Jamie!
April update on Phobe
Phoebe is a beautiful 1 year old lurcher who's character outshines the stunning looks.
She has a super soft and gentle nature and will play football or catch for hours. She will need an experienced owner as she is a high energy breed and will need someone to continue on with her training and keep her mentally stimulated. Preferably a family with no young kids only due to her size when she plays she might knock them over.
She is good with other dogs (smaller dogs less as she wants to chase them, not aggressively only to play all the time), a home with another big playful pup would be ideal.
She is very clever so learns quick, improving daily on the lead but again needs more time as she gets very excited when she sees other dogs. Recall not great but the better trusting relationship she has with owner will improve this.
She will need patience and lots of love to settle as she has moved around more than any dog should. She gets anxious especially when left alone, so she will need to be in a home where there is usually people or a dog with her.
Must have an enclosed garden for her to play and a family that wants a running, cycling or hiking buddy would be fab. She is currently on an equestrian centre so gets on fine with horses.
Very sweet doggo just had an unfortunate start to life so we want to get her into her forever home soon. Anyone would be absolutely blessed to have her.
We think this might be a familiar feeling to many at this point! 😴 Our latest design in the HUG fundraising shop celebrates the elegance of greyhounds wherever they happen to fall asleep. Shop at shop.spreadshirt.ie/homes-for-unwanted-greyhounds/ and please note that sizes can run small so if in doubt, go up in size. #FierceTiredGreyhounds
Badger is one of the new dogs that came into kennels this week. Badger ran her last race in February and is now on the look out for a new home. Badger is a full sister to Our Home Town who we homed last year. Badger, who is not yet four, is a friendly dog and is getting on with the other hounds in kennels. As you can see from the photos Badger is aptly named. She is a very pretty hound and will make a great pet.
